If you are looking for ways to use up your leftover bread, this post may help you.  I love to make my own bread but always find the last leftover bits get wasted and end up in the bin.  Not one for wasting food so a few years ago I decided enough was enough and must use the left over bits somehow.

Below is a few ways in which I use the end bits of bread left in the bread bin.  There are many ways to make use of it in your daily meals.

We often have a bag of breadcrumbs in the freezer ready for making home made chicken nuggets or fish.  Home made breadcrumbs are far more tasty than the ones you can buy in a box, they seem to have more crunch to them.

This is certainly a favourite topping of mine when making fish pie, it gives it a gorgeous crispy top.

Sometimes its not always possible to make my own pizza bases but if you are in a hurry left over bread does the job.  Layered with tomato, cheese, onion, peppers and whatever meat you like.
