School chocolate concrete recipe
I have a lot of people asking if I still have the chocolate concrete recipe from my school days. I thought it may be a good idea to put the recipe on my blog and hopefully it will take people back in time. Even to this day this recipe is still one of my favourites, the chocolate crunchiness is delicious. Served with mint custard makes this even more special. This recipe is very easy and quite cheap to make using just a few ingredients from the store cupboard.
Chocolate concrete ingredients: Makes 12
200g Plain flour
50g Cocoa powder
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees
Sieve the flour into a bowl and add the sugar and cocoa powder the mix.
Melt the butter in the microwave, once melted add to the dry ingredients and mix with the ends of your fingers until crumbly.
Pour out the mixture into a 26 cm x 20 cm oven tray ( or whatever you have of similar size).
Make even and press down the mixture slightly but don’t be too heavy handed.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Once baked sprinkle with sugar.
Cut into desired size pieces while still warm.
I hope you enjoyed going back in time with this school chocolate concrete recipe 🙂
Have a lovely day x
