Apple Crumble Recipe
A delicious apple crumble and custard is definitely a family favourite! Its that time of year again to harvest the apples. There is nothing like a good old British pudding to complete your meal. As with all of my recipes this is another reasonable cost, it will last us for a couple of days.
1k bramley apples or apples of your choice peeled, cored and sliced.
175g plain flour
110g butter (cold)
1 tbsn demerara sugar
1 tbsn rolled oats
Firstly preheat your oven to 180C & gas mark 4
Place sliced apples in an oven proof dish and sprinkle with sugar, I usually pour over a little lemon juice too but this is optional.
Rub in the butter, sugar, flour and salt to resemble breadcrumbs.
Cover the apples with crumble mix.
Mix the demerara sugar and oats and sprinkle over the top of the crumble to give it a crispy finish.
Bake in the oven for 25 / 30 minutes until golden.
Serve this delicious apple crumble with custard or cream.
Have a lovely weekend everyone x
